As has been stated before, AR is an open system, and we encourage community development. This creates something of a problem: it's very hard to find a common format which everyone can use and which will nevertheless deliver the kind of formatting which is needed. At present, hence, we are offering only three versions for most documents: Microsoft® Word, Adobe® Acrobat® and PostScript®. While a great many users (the majority, we hope!) are likely to be able to view at least one of these three file types, it is nevertheless true that others may not be able to do so; for those of you who fall into this category, we hope that the following will help.

If you still can't make use of Alternate Realities documents after trying the views below, hope is not lost. Contact the authors, and we will try to find a way to get the files to you in a format you can read. We don't make any promises, but we'll do what we can!
